Whether your child was already dealing with the effects of trauma long before the pandemic, your child is experiencing trauma related to sheltering at home, of you’re just concerned about what may come up this school year, it is helpful to understand the key principles of providing a trauma-informed environment: Predictability, Flexibility, Connection, and Empowerment.
