We’ve mentioned previously that being active not only helps your physical health, it also helps with your mental health! This month is American Heart Month and we are here with a friendly reminder to be active with your family and aim for 30 minutes of physical activity a day, for 5 days a week (150 minutes a week!). Research has shown that we are more motivated and active when we are staying active with others. If you have kids, take them to play at the park, dance to some music, have a skip roping competition or do some jumping jacks. Just by being active, we are improving our stamina and the ability to cope with stress.
