Did you know that February is American Heart Month? Studies have shown that people who have close relationships at home, school, work, or in their community are more likely to live a healthier and longer life. According to the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, one of the reasons this may be is because we are more likely to be successful in reaching our health goals when do them together with friends and family. Having a connection with others strengthens our relationships which benefits our overall health including blood pressure, weight, and mental health.
