Did you know that social emotional learning (SEL) for children improves student achievement, health, classroom management, and prevents youth behavioral problems? In fact, children participating in SEL programs also showed improvement in the ability to manage their own stress an depression and increased better attitudes about themselves, others, and school.

The informational video below was created by CASEL and Chicago Public Schools to inform parents on SEL in schools and provide them with insights on SEL in their own parenting practices in order to support their children’s social and emotional know-how.
