There are many indicators that shows whether a child is being bullied or is bullying others. These indicator or warning signs of bullying could also indicate other issues such as mental illness. It is crucial to talk with your child about the signs of bullying or if you suspect your child is being bullied or bullying others.

Some indicators of a child that is being bullied may include:

  • Academic problems
  • Frequent lost or damage possessions
  • Unexplained injuries
  • Increase in self-destructive behaviors

Some indicators of a child that is bullying others:

  • Disregards rules and authority
  • Hurts others’ feelings
  • Increase in aggressive behaviors
  • Quick to blame others for their problems
