All bullying incidents should be reported. It is important to teach your child how to effectively report to a trusted adult if he or she is being bullied or if he or she witnesses a bullying incident with another child. As an adult, you can also report bullying incidents through the school’s chain of command. It is recommended that you first notify the school principal and the district superintendent with information appropriate to the incident.

If the incident has not been resolved by the school principal, the next step would be to notify the school district’s superintendent. If the school district’s superintendent has not resolved the situation, you can submit your report to the president of the school board. Check out Oklahoma State Department of Education’s Contact Chart for more information on how to report bullying incidents.
